But before we dive right in, let us introduce ourselves in case this is your first visit. Welcome to The Creative and Ambitious Entrepreneur Podcast. We’re your hosts, Jen and Elke Clarke. We are a mother and daughter team that started Zazzle e-commerce businesses over 10 years ago and have sold over 15 million dollars-worth and counting of products on Zazzle.

The Creative and Ambitious Entrepreneur Podcast is for you, the creative. We share actionable steps that you can take to make money in your e-commerce business. In each episode, we will take you one step closer to achieving freedom with your time, location, and finances.

We believe that a profitable e-commerce business is what opens the doors for you to start living your dream life if you work smarter, not harder, use the right tools and follow the proven roadmap. We’re here to give you the tools you need to make your dream life happen. Let’s get started!

And today, we’re talking about Strategy #3: Announce which is an important part of creating success on Zazzle. This is focused on promoting and driving traffic to your Zazzle products, which ultimately leads to more sales and increased cash flow.

For all the details, listen to the ENTIRE episode of The Creative and Ambitious Entrepreneur Podcast on your preferred streaming platform.

Who would benefit from implementing Strategy #3: Announce?

This strategy benefits you, the creative. Specifically, creatives who are thinking of starting on Zazzle and want to get a foothold in the competitive Zazzle marketplace. Having this strategy implemented will be key for you because this is an e-commerce online platform, so it’s important to remember we’re not physically there when our customer shows up to shop in our store.

This strategy is also beneficial for Zazzle designers who are struggling to hit those consistent $5K months. If you’re not yet making this kind of income, that doesn’t mean it’s out of the realm of possibility for you because some of our clients are achieving this income. This just simply means you haven’t implemented The 5 Strategies™ properly and your Zazzle business is not working as efficiently as it could be. Please NOTE, we can not make any income claim statements. It’s all up to you to do the work and implement The 5 Strategies™ properly and effectively.

Engage, LEARN, IMPLEMENT

Why is Strategy #3: Announce so important and what are the benefits?

If you don’t use Strategy #3: Announce properly, people searching online would not find your products listed for sale, therefore you’ll not make sales. You could have the most amazing design that customers would really want but if you aren’t utilizing Strategy #3: Announce, you’re missing out on a lot of potential sales from customers.

The next benefit is that it’s a non-salesy and non-overwhelming approach to promotion. Oftentimes, we view promoting our products and offers as “icky” or uncomfortable. The way we teach and how we implement Strategy #3: Announce you will promote in an easy and natural flow way that avoids the icky sales-y approach..

On the flip side, maybe you feel confused with the entire concept of online promotion. You may not have a lot of experience with social media promotion and using things like Pinterest to promote your Zazzle products. We see a lot of people shy away from this entirely simply because they don’t know how to go about it. This is exactly where we can help you through our Profit by Design Academy™ Coaching Program.

What needs to be done to incorporate Strategy #3: Announce/Promote in your Zazzle business?

We have put together a few different levels of involvement when it comes to promoting your Zazzle products. We have already shared some tips with you when it comes to using organic methods such as title and tags. You can check out our last episode where we cover Strategy #2: Create to hear more on how you can implement titles and tags effectively. This is one of our favorite and most effective ways to do organic and passive promotion.

In terms of other tools available on Zazzle to help you implement Strategy #3: Announce, you can use collections. This is a fantastic way to promote additional products that can be bought together along with the first product. We dive deeper into this in our Profit by Design Academy™ Coaching Program. To give you a quick overview, you can use collections to leverage certain products in your Zazzle store. You can take one product that’s selling well and cross promote either matching products with the same design on it or the same product and use with different designs on them.

Last but certainly not least, we recommend you use Pinterest to promote your Zazzle products. The main differentiator of Pinterest versus all other social media platforms is that it’s search-engine based. People can search using keywords on Pinterest and then Pins will pop up relevant to those keywords. Alongside that, most of the Pinterest users are on Pinterest to shop or get inspiration as to what to buy. It’s a type of customer that also may not know Zazzle exists until they find Pins such as yours that will direct them to the Zazzle marketplace. We also love the fact that content on Pinterest is long-lasting. When you create a Pin and add it to one of the boards on your Pinterest account, it can be found by potential customers years from now. Pinterest does not require the constant upkeep like you would have to do on Instagram or Facebook to get results.
