Your Zazzle Business: Why you should be operating as the CEO of your Zazzle business.

We have made over 1.5 million dollars combined on Zazzle, the platform we use to license our designs and make passive income. To generate that amount of revenue, we have to treat our business as a living, breathing business, rather than a hobby. When you run your Zazzle store as a business, you need organization and structure. You need someone who is the boss, the worker, the marketer, and so on. All of these roles suddenly appear as things that need to be done within your business. However, if you were a corporation, these would be filed by other people. As a solo entrepreneur, you are taking on all these roles at once and doing all the work. When you are in the position of running your own business online you can forget there are other roles you have to play. The CEO, or chief executive officer, requires you to make sure you set goals for the company so that you have something to work towards.

In addition, you must hold yourself accountable as the CEO. When you are in this role, you understand what needs to be done and have the ability to make important decisions. You have to determine how things get done, and when they get done. After you understand the job of the CEO, you have to run the company based on certain core business principles. This is where The 3 Pillars: Perceivable, Passive, Profitable™ come into play as the foundation and framework for your successful Zazzle businesses.

Engage, LEARN, IMPLEMENT

Your Zazzle Business: The first pillar, “Perceivable.”

“Perceivable” means that you can perceive your Zazzle business as one that will work for you. Zazzle is an amazing platform because they do a lot of set-up on the back end to support you as a Zazzle designer. Zazzle on its own is a business running to make money, and they therefore make it a priority to help you as a designer to promote your products successfully. You are working hand in hand with Zazzle and they offer so much support from creating the product, to shipping and handling, and customer service. So, using Zazzle as a platform to make money online is extremely perceivable.

Your Zazzle Business: The second pillar, “Passive.”

“Passive” means that your business is passively working for you. You are earning income while you are participating in other activities besides running your business. You do have to put in the work at the beginning to build your business, but if you work smart, not hard, it will begin to work for you passively.

Since the Zazzle platform is print on demand and an online e-commerce platform, this allows customers all around the world to purchase products no matter what time of day. Your business will become passive for you if you set it up properly using The 3 Pillars: Perceivable, Passive, Profitable™ and The 5 Strategies: Establish, Create, Announce, Align, Analyze™, which you can learn more about in our signature course, The Profit By Design Academy™.

Your Zazzle Business: The third pillar, “Profitable.”

“Profitable” is a very important pillar out of The 3 Pillars: Perceivable, Passive, Profitable™. You want to build your business up to be a profitable one. When creating your business, you want to make sure that the platform being used can be profitable. Setting up a profitable business requires you to put structures into place that allow you to have the least amount of expenses. You want to have the most amount of take home after the revenue gets distributed to cover expenses. In a big corporation, there are salaries paid out. If you are a solo entrepreneur, it can be easy to forget you are a valuable employee in addition to being the CEO. You need to track your hours and figure out what your salary is when you begin to make a substantial amount of money. At some point, when it comes to examining profit as the CEO, you have to take into account your business strategy and whether you need to take a different approach to continue to align with your purpose of being profitable and your why. At the end of the day, you want your business to work for you.

Your Zazzle Business: The importance of feeling comfortable and confident in embracing your role as CEO.

Not only do we want you to become the CEO of your Zazzle business, but we also want you to feel comfortable and confident stepping into this role. As Zazzle designers, we tend to label ourselves as just that. You are more than a Zazzle designer. Take the next step and own the title of CEO. Oftentimes when someone hears the title CEO, they automatically relate that to someone who’s in charge of a lot of people, or they relate it to operating a huge corporation. We want you to know that isn’t always the case. You can be the CEO of your Zazzle business even if you don’t work in a huge office building or manage a team of people. Embrace the CEO role and once you envision it, you will begin making decisions as one.

Some of these decisions entail profitability and productivity. As a CEO, one of your responsibilities is to determine if the time being spent on creating products is profitable. If you take an hour to make a product, and promoting that product takes about 10 minutes, you want to leverage that product as much as possible. The goal is to gain the most money out of your efforts. To do this, you must analyze how the product is performing by taking on the CEO role.

How to Become the CEO of Your Zazzle Business: The Key Takeaways

Every Zazzle designer should embrace their inner CEO and become the CEO they were meant to be in order to be successful on Zazzle. You can do this as long as your mindset is in alignment with acting as a CEO, and you use our business framework, The 3 Pillars: Perceivable, Passive, Profitable™. You can achieve your dream life if you put the work in, treat it like a business, and embrace your inner CEO!
