As 2021 draws to a close, it’s time to reflect and prepare for 2022 in an intentional way in order to take advantage of the blank slate that is a brand new year. In today’s post, I (Jen) am helping you understand the opportunities for your online business that a new year presents and how you can set intentional resolutions to meet all your goals.
Since the pandemic began, there have been so many changes for business owners. Other things have changed in all of our lives as a result of COVID-19, too, including things like family dynamics. Navigating these waters has been tricky, and for that reason, it’s especially important to honor your hard work and wins over the past year and look forward to 2022.
As 2021 draws to a close, it’s important to set feasible and reasonable goals for the year ahead. It’s important to stick with your resolutions, which many people don’t as the year goes on. In setting these goals, start before the end of the year even arrives. This allows you to hone in on what you want and don’t want out of this new year.
As you create your resolutions, remember that you need to complete the actions to achieve your goals throughout the year – they’re not just going to happen overnight! You also want to feel good and confident about these resolutions by setting them in a reasonable and intentional way.
Instead of creating a long laundry list of resolutions, zero in on a few very intentional goals. You can also plan out what you’ll do to meet these goals each quarter of the year. Think through how you’ll attain the knowledge you need to move forward towards these goals, too, since that’s an important part of attaining these achievements.
Really zero in on the evolution you want to see for your business in 2022. Ask yourself these questions to figure out what goals will guide you to what you want to happen for your business:
– Where do you see your business in 2022?
– What are your personal goals?
– What are your branding goals?
– What are your production goals?
– Where do you want your business to be a year from now?
– What milestones do you want to hit in 2022?
Make sure to identify all goals and milestones, whether they be major or smaller-scale. They’re all important and worth working towards and celebrating, so don’t leave any out!
This time of year is also a great opportunity to celebrate all you’ve accomplished in 2021. It’s time to celebrate your wins, whether they were big or small ones. If you don’t take time to do this and take time off in conjunction with that, you’ll end up run down and burnt out. This will prohibit you from driving your business forward the way you could if you were refreshed and revitalized.
Journal about all of your wins and celebrations. Doing this will make you feel good about reflecting back on your progress over time. As you celebrate your wins, do things you enjoy. From reading a book to taking a bath to leisurely completing a puzzle, these activities can really help you feel reinvigorated and celebrated.
Taking this time to reflect on your wins and celebrate them helps you feel personally fulfilled. This will allow you to put more into your Zazzle business and offer you an internal appreciation for yourself and all that you’ve accomplished.
As 2021 nears the end, reflection can really help you close the loop on this year and get ready for another amazing year of business, evolution, and learning. Taking this time to reflect, set goals, and celebrate all that 2021 has brought you will make all the difference as you embark on this clean slate.
