There is a new attribution model for Zazzle affiliates. Zazzle is an E-Commerce platform that sells billions of products from both brand names and Indie Designers. If you are a Zazzle Designer, Zazzle Associate, or Promoter of Zazzle, this will apply to you. If you are not yet a Zazzle affiliate, you can join for free and start promoting to earn money. The big change is that you now have 1 week during which your referral cannot be overridden (taken over) by another referral link. This is great news because it will reward the original promoter of the customer.

Zazzle is an E-Commerce shopping platform. Customers shop for unique gifts and items that can be customized. Maybe you have shopped on Zazzle in the past for t-shirts, business cards, wedding invitations, art, photography, and more. Zazzle has billions of unique products and ships internationally.
What you may not know is that you can open a virtual store on Zazzle for FREE. Start creating virtual products for sale at no cost. Once a customer buys your product, Zazzle prints and ships it to the customer and pays you a royalty. That makes you a Zazzle Designer. You are licensing your designs to Zazzle at no cost to you except your time. How cool is that?

You can earn affiliate income on Zazzle. Earn 15% or 35% based on which affiliate program you are signed up for with Zazzle. To find out more about these, keep reading.
Benefits of Zazzle’s New Attribution Model
Zazzle’s goal is to ensure you are rewarded for that the time and effort you spend on marketing and driving traffic to Zazzle.
The cookie, placed by your referral link on a customer’s device or computer can not be overridden for 1 WEEK. The cookie length is still 45 days for the customer to make that initial click onto Zazzle. Now, if the customer clicks on Zazzle with your link, but then they click on another referral link after that, you still receive the referral if they buy within 7 days.
Currently, Zazzle has 2 programs that allow you to earn referrals. This new Zazzle Attribution Model will be applicable to both the Associate Program (earn 15% on all products) and the new Promoter Program 2.0 (earn 35% on your products and 15% on all products – depending on how you structure the affiliate link).
Zazzle’s Associate Program
The Associate Program is free for anyone to join, even if you are not a designer on Zazzle. It is Zazzle’s affiliate program. If you are part of The Associate Program, you will earn a 15% referral fee on ALL products, including your own designed products, that you promote from the Zazzle marketplace.
Zazzle’s New Promoter Program 2.0
If you are part of the new Promoter Program 2.0, you will earn a 35% referral fee when you sell the products that you promote OR 15% on all products – depending on how you structure the affiliate link.

How You Earn a Referral with Zazzle’s New Attribution Model
Here are a few examples Zazzle provided. These show you when you can earn a Zazzle referral now with the new attribution rule of no overrides (takeovers) for 1 week.
If a customer has NOT clicked on any referral links in the past week AND clicks on your Promoter 2.0 link or Associate link to start a new session on Zazzle, AND THEN……
- makes a purchase right away = you earn the referral
- leaves for a period of time, but comes back to Zazzle within the same week organically (i.e., not through a referral link), and makes a purchase = you earn the referral
- then leaves for a period of time, but comes back to Zazzle within the same week through a different referral link, and makes a purchase = you (the original referrer) earn the referral
- leaves for longer than a week but comes back to Zazzle organically (not through a referral link), and makes a purchase = you earn the referral
How You DO NOT Earn a Referral with Zazzle’s New Attribution Model
Here are examples Zazzle provided to show when you DO NOT earn a Zazzle referral with the new rule of no overriding (taken over) for 1 week.
- If a customer has NOT clicked on any referral links in the past week AND clicks on your Promoter 2.0 or Associate link to start a new session on Zazzle AND THEN……leaves for longer than a week, but comes back to Zazzle through a DIFFERENT (ie. not yours) referral link, and makes a purchase, then you DO NOT earn the referral.
- If a customer starts their shopping session on Zazzle organically or via a referral link that is NOT your referral link, clicks on your Promoter 2.0 or Associate link during their shopping session, and makes a purchase, then you DO NOT earn the referral.
