Through our work with Zazzle sellers, I’ve come to realize that people sometimes struggle when it comes to making 6-figures through their online business. That’s why this post is all about how you can overcome the struggles of earning online and the roadblocks that come along with trying to build a business as a 6-figure income entrepreneur.
I’ll define these struggles, give real-life examples of how we’ve helped people overcome the struggles of earning, and even provide some journal prompts to help with your mindset around your earnings and these issues. So, let’s get started! Keep reading to learn more.
Struggling with things surrounding our income and those that are self-made can be harmful to our health and sense of worthiness. You actually don’t need to struggle nearly as much as you’d think to earn your six-figure income, especially on the Zazzle platform.
Why build a business that can lead to burnout? We certainly don’t want that. That’s why in our Academy coaching program we teach how to work only 20 hours a month to achieve success on Zazzle. That doesn’t seem like a struggle, right? Our program provides you with strategies that help you build your income on Zazzle in a more passive manner.
This step-by-step plan and mindset shift will help a lot in reducing the struggles they create for themselves when people make decisions without a proven plan to build their dream business that provides a 6-figure income.
I want to share some real-life examples of people that have struggled and then chose our proven plan to minimize their struggle while achieving the success they desired.
The first example of this is Wendy. She is a dedicated and talented person who was struggling with understanding what is involved in the online selling business. She struggled to be open to new methods and it took a while to convince her to change.
She started in 2016 on the Zazzle platform and then started with The Profit by Design Academy® in 2017. She didn’t make money or get paid out until January of 2018 (6 months after starting with the Academy). By the end of 2018, she had made $3,700.
Wendy was able to increase her income each year. In 2021, she made over $64,000 and was granted her gold pro-designer designated status, which means you’ve made over $100,000 in sales on Zazzle.
This journey for her did not come without struggles, though. She struggled with technology and was unfamiliar with the Zazzle platform. She was also having a lot of trouble promoting her products on Pinterest and spent a lot of time developing her website, even though that wasn’t necessary to her Zazzle success.
In short, she hadn’t received the right training and was focused on some of the wrong aspects of running the business. But with the right training and proven plan to follow to get rid of the struggle, she began to shine.
The next person I want to showcase is Brandon. He had initial struggles for five years prior to working with us. In his first five years selling on Zazzle, he made a total of $2,500.
He struggled with his inability to generate designs and wasn’t good at deciphering the amount of time to put into the platform and what to do during that time. Since he has a full-time job, he needed to be efficient in the time he spent on Zazzle.
Once he started working with The Profit by Design Academy®, he began putting in the monthly 20 hours. In his first year in PDA (2017), he made $10,000. In 2021, he made $150,000. By the end of 2021, he had earned $330,000 in lifetime earnings.
Wow! He’s continuing to evolve on his Zazzle journey to success and aims to only work four hours a month like Jen and I do as he maintains this level of passive income.
His participation in PDA has allowed him to completely shift the way that he works and he now feels so empowered on the platform, which is just amazing.
Christine is the last case study that I want to talk about. In her first two years on Zazzle, she earned very little money on the platform. She only earned $132 in two years of doing it on her own.
She struggled to realize that she could make money on Zazzle outside of their affiliate program by selling her own designs. Mostly this was because she is not highly creative and believed she wouldn’t be able to generate designs that sell.
But in 2017 she joined The Profit by Design Academy®. In the first year, she made $3,800. The next year, she made $33,000. Then in her third year, she made over $100,000. In 2021, she made $150,000. What an amazing trajectory, right?
Each of these three people had their own unique struggles. They overcame them with our coaching and mentoring through The Academy and continued support through our Mastermind and 1:1 coaching.
They were able to build their own 6-figure businesses and they continue to grow their businesses using The 5 Strategies™ unique to our coaching program that helped us and are now helping our coaching clients achieve 6-figure success without the struggle.
Now I want to give you some journal prompts to help you overcome the struggles of earning 6-figures online.
These surround things that the three people I talked about did in order to change their mindset and overcome their struggles.
Journal on each of these points to understand where you stand on each of them as an honest and wonderful starting point in your journey to your six-figure business.
Make an investment of time and money in your online business to convey your desire to make the income you’re yearning for.
No excuses allowed! When someone is invested financially, they have skin in the game in what they’re doing. Investing in a training like ours will help you put more skin in the game and motivate you to keep working towards your goals and take your business seriously.
Doing this is really important because it is your path to success! You need to follow the plan of someone who has already achieved their goals so that you know it will work.
Mentors can tell you about their own struggles and how they overcame them. You want mentors that have been where you are but who have achieved the things you want as well.
Every business decision you make relates to how you feel. You want to take on a business mindset that allows you to make decisions based on results rather than emotions. Once you do this, you will not deviate from that and it will help you make much more sound decisions for your business.
Don’t use excuses in your business – show up and follow the plan. Building a business takes hard work, so you’ll need to buckle down for 20 hours a month and make sure that you show up and work on your storefront. When problems come up, don’t use excuses – face them head-on and continue to push through in order to build the business you dream about.
You need to get over the need you have to work hard or to work more than 20 hours. Instead, embrace the idea of working smarter. We’ve all been taught that we need to work long and hard to make something work, but with our plan, a lot of the work is done for you. So, you can embrace it and enjoy a more efficient method of building your business.
Don’t let what you’ve experienced previously affect your mindset now. New start, new results!
