Have you started to prepare your Zazzle store for the biggest online shopping weekend of the year? Online retail stores have already started. You need to as well. There are only two more weeks until Black Friday 2018 and Cyber Monday. And since it is traditionally known as the busiest time of the year for shopping online, you need to make sure that you take key action steps in the next couple of days to get ready. As a Zazzle Designer and promoter, it is an amazing opportunity to dramatically increase your royalty and referral earnings.

But with Zazzls’s recent updates to it’s platform and product lines your store might not be in it’s optimal state. Do you think you are ready? Keep reading to make sure that you are.

Dates For the Biggest Online Shopping Weekend of the Year

Online stores start offering huge discounts on November 22, 2018, which is the American day for Thanksgiving. Then Black Friday is on November 23, 2018. The Cyber Monday follows on November 26, 2018.

Make Gifts With Zazzle’s New Products

When you think about the holidays, you think about gifts. On Black Friday 2018 and Cyber Monday, consumers will be on the hunt for great deals on gifts they can give for the holiday season. So you want to make sure that your store has plenty of gift options. Zazzle offers many traditional gift options such as watches, t-shirts and clothing accessories. However, they have recently released some amazing new gift related products that you can start designing on today.

1. Three new iPhone Case styles:
iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR

2. HP Laptop Skins

3. Balloons

4. Dry Erase Magnetic Sheet

5. Glass Paperweights

When designing, think of how you can make each product as a unique gift idea.

Make Holiday Cards and Matching Products Using Zazzle’s Paper Breakout

Don’t forget the holiday cards! If you haven’t started designing holiday and Christmas cards yet, you need to ramp up your game. Zazzle recommends that for the holiday season you make cards two to three months before the holiday season. And as a designer you want to make sure that you have them ready in your store to buy on Black Friday 2018 and Cyber Monday!

Zazzle recently introduced their new ‘Paper Breakout’ which gives you as a designer over 30 different paper product types to design on. Take advantage of these amazing paper products and design holiday cards and matching products to create a suite.

Read the article I wrote here explaining the ‘Paper Breakout’ and how to use the proper paper products based on your design.

Revise and Update Your Products For Zazzle’s New Department Tree

Zazzle has recently updated its departments to make it easier for customers to find the products they are looking for. This is a HUGE advantage for you as a designer. It means that you are able to properly categorize your products to make searching for them more efficient. However, you need to make sure that your products have the right titles and have been put in the right department. You need to revise your old products and be aware of how to properly post your new products.

Read the article I wrote here about how to post products with Zazzle’s new Department Tree to get yourself familiar with the new system.

Have Timely Product Promotion

Zazzle has been known for its great internal and external product promotion. As a designer, you can sell on Zazzle without having to do promotional work. However, during the holiday season, I recommend that you make the effort to promote your products. Especially before the biggest online shopping weekend of the year! It will not only help your sales but earn you referral income as well.

For holiday gifts, begin promotion in the first week of November and ramp up the intensity as Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday draw near.

For New Years’ items, begin promotion in the first week of December.

If you don’t know where to start promoting, read the article I wrote here about How to Set Up A Facebook Page to Sell Your Zazzle Products.

Add Your Tracking Code

Doesn’t the combination of royalty and referral income sound amazing? Did you know that you can earn 15% on top of your royalty rate for each sale that you refer? If you have your default royalty at 5%, that means that you could potentially earn 20% if you make a sale from promoting it! And did you know that you can add a promo code to your referral link? Think about the amount of income you could be making on Black Friday 2018 and Cyber Monday if you use the sales promotions!

In order to do this correctly, you need to properly add your referral number to your links with the promo code.
