Are you a designer on Zazzle, like Lynn-Marie? Do you want to improve your Zazzle business? Do you want to make more income? Be more creative? Then you need to be in a positive mindset and affirmations can help you.

If you are not in the right mindset, your Zazzle business will be negatively affected.

In this article, Lynn-Marie will tell you the easy steps to making an effective affirmation that is tailored to your specific goals.

A Positive Mindset Helps You Overcome Obstacles

A positive mindset is important for your success in both your personal life and your business. As a Zazzle designer since 2009, I’ve seen many business decision changes by Zazzle on the online platform that affected my own entrepreneurial business. Site issues that impact my product production or design tool troubles are also present.  When obstacles arise that are not under my control, I keep a positive mindset to be able to overcome them. If I let these changes on the Zazzle platform affect me in a negative way, my Zazzle business suffers. So, having affirmations help me to make proper business decisions to help me move forward toward success.

What Exactly Is An Affirmation?

According to the dictionary, the definitions of “affirmation”  are; 1. “the action or process of affirming something or being affirmed” and 2. “emotional support or encouragement.”

Affirmations, are like daily mantras or prayers, whether you find them online, in books, or create your own. The words or sentences are used to rewire your brain into action or remove negative thoughts that hold you down. Affirmations can be utilized for any area of your life including health, well-being, or success in business. For this blog post, the information below is related to business success.

Write Your Own Affirmations for Success Specific to Your Goals

Personally, I like writing my own affirmations. This way I can tailor each one to something specific related to me or my business. For me, it also feels more personal and I have dedication to what I have written. I look at exactly what I want to achieve for my business and I write it down. I recommend that you create your own. This way you will have a passion for it because it is ‘yours’. Writing your own affirmations is easy if you remember the simple steps below.

1. Have Intent For Your Affirmation

Never use words like “maybe”, “I’ll try” or “sometimes”. Those words are passive in nature. You will be better served to use words like “I will”, “I am”, “I have” or “I intend”. These words are “action” words. You want to use words as declarations of intent. For example, here are two sentences that are similar.

This one is passive:

“I’ll try to make as much money as I can from my Zazzle business.”

This sentence below is better and is a declaration of intent. See if you can tell the difference:

“I am successfully earning my $6,000 financial goal from Zazzle.”

The first sentence is vague and passive. “I’ll try?” A better way to start that sentence is with “I will”. The phrase “make as much money” isn’t strong enough. You need to have a goal in mind. Goals are to keep you moving forward. I have added “I am successful” in the second sentence. This leads us to the next step quite nicely.

2. Write In the Present Tense

If you write in the present tense you are experiencing the difference you want to achieve right now in your body. Write…”I am successful.” When you read or say this out loud, you believe it, because you are making a statement that is ‘true’. If you say ‘I want to be successful’, you are not stating a ‘truth’, and it is not in the present. You are waiting for something to happen in the future. By writing in the present tense, your mind believes that you are successful in the present.

3. Take a Negative and Turn It Into a Positive

I used to think if I became successful with my Zazzle business I’d have no time to be with my husband and kids.

After learning from Elke’s courses and mentoring program, I realized I was holding myself back with those baseless thoughts. Elke’s 5 Step Profit Plan VIP Mentoring Program™ really helped me see the importance of having a positive mindset to be successful and using tools like affirmations to overcome my fears and negative thoughts.

Turning this negative thought into a positive one helped me. I realized that working hard on Zazzle would not keep me from my husband and kids, it would actually give me more time in the future to be with them.

FOR THIS, I USE THIS AFFIRMATION…

“I am fearless, reach my full potential, and have time to be with my family.”

Sit quietly and focus on areas you want to improve. For me, it was to be successful and have time to spend with my family.

Are you afraid of success? Do you worry about money? With the right affirmations, you can be rid of the negatives in your life.

4. Speak Your Affirmations Out Loud

Saying your affirmation out loud makes the declaration even stronger. You can also really tell by hearing them out loud which sentence is more assertive.

For a more powerful impact, say your affirmation(s) at the same time every day. Saying them more than once a day is even better. For example, having a routine of saying them in the morning when you get up and then at night before you go to bed consistently every day is effective.

5. A Resource for More Inspiration on Affirmations

The authority and some say “The Queen of Affirmations” was Louise Hay. This link is a helpful resource to dive deeper into what to do.

One of Louise Hay’s affirmations is taped to my desktop computer so that I see it as I am working on my business. It reads.

“My income is constantly increasing.”

This statement is a fact and a powerful affirmation that puts me in the right mindset.

I read it and say it out loud to myself before I start working on Zazzle.

When you make it your intention to have a positive mindset, you can’t help but be uplifted and successful. Your fears will dissipate and you will be empowered.

Ever since I began using affirmations I have seen a dramatic increase in my productivity and income in my Zazzle business.

      Hi Elke,

I found this poem online just about the same time I signed up for your courses. I like it a lot, and it resonated with me. I haven’t investigated yet if the poem is in the public domain, but I have seen many posters and framed art made with it.

“There is freedom waiting for you,
On the breezes of the sky,
And you ask “What if I fall?”
      Oh but my darling,
      What if you fly?”
