2021 Wedding Statistics

According to The Wedding report Inc., in 2021, there will be 2.77 million people getting married. The average year is around 2.12 million. That’s around 650,000 more couples getting married this year. The average spending for weddings this year is predicted to be $22,000. This means that weddings are a $60 billion industry. Couples will spend that money on all kinds of things, but a great portion of that money will be spent on items that can be produced in the E-commerce space, such as stationery, decorations, and other keepsakes. These statistics show that you are thinking about getting into the wedding industry, NOW is absolutely the time to do it!

2021 Wedding Trend #1: Smaller guest lists

Even though the guest lists will be smaller, it’s still important to create paper products like invitations. When you make these products, add details about live video streaming options and COVID-19 safety guidelines. Zazzle also has masks, wipes, and hand sanitizers, all of which you can design and sell to coordinate with the bride and groom’s wedding theme.

2021 Wedding Trend #2: Multiple celebrations for one wedding

To keep numbers small and abide with safety regulations, some couples will choose to have multiple small gatherings with different groups of friends and family. This is great news for you as a designer, because now you can sell multiple different types of invitations and accessories to each of these celebrations. 2021 Wedding Trend #3: Green and white florals will be less popular

Warmer hues are coming back in style. We suggest using vibrant colors like purple, burnt orange, and burgundy in your designs for each of the wedding products that you design and post for sale on the Zazzle marketplace.

2021 Wedding Trend #4: More elopements will take place

Because more elopements will happen in 2021, it will be important to offer elopement announcements amongst your products you have for sale on Zazzle. Cards that say something like “We’ve eloped” or “Celebrate the new couple” will be sought after by newlyweds who want to announce their marriage.

You might think that since people are being invited to a virtual service, there’s no need for physical invitations. However, people still appreciate the formality of a physical wedding invitation and many will keep it as a keepsake. You will profit if you create invites with the sample text needed for a virtual wedding. 2021 Wedding Trend #6: DIY decor is coming back.

Because non-essential stores are shut down, couples are turning to DIY decor for the wedding ceremony and celebration. This means even more opportunities for you as a Zazzle designer! You can make banners, table runners, things that will go on tables and chairs, and anything else creative that you can come up with. If you think a couple needs it, and if Zazzle sells it, create it!

2021 Wedding Trend #7: Bachelor and bachelorette parties will opt for smaller, intimate gatherings.

Rather than going to crowded bars and hotels, bachelor and bachelorette parties will be smaller and more likely to take place at something like an Airbnb. You can create things like matching t-shirts, slippers, robes, or even games like cards or poker. While these parties won’t be as large, you have the chance to help make these gatherings special.
