Is the Zazzle Promoter Program 2.0 Right For You?
The Zazzle Promoter Program 2.0 has been completely changed for the better compared to the Zazzle Promoter Program 1.0, which was cancelled in September 2019.
Are you a Zazzle designer who is looking for a popular niche to sell in? Graduation season is fast approaching and even in the middle of a global pandemic in 2021 grads will celebrate this important milestone in their lives.
Grad ceremonies and parties will likely have to be smaller, or even virtual again this year in 2021 but graduates and their families will still be looking for unique customizable products on the Zazzle marketplace to mark their rite of passage as they graduate from high school or college.
The graduation products that you design and post for sale don’t have to be limited to just invitations and announcements. There is a reason that graduation is one of the hottest niches on Zazzle. Zazzle has so many product types that you can design on to help make a grad’s day special that are customizable.
In this article we will show you three ways to sell graduation products on Zazzle in 2021. Read on to get all the details you need for a successful graduation season in your Zazzle store!
“When designing graduation gifts, think about products that the grad can wear, like shirts, hoodies, mugs, or use like cell phone cases, keychains, mugs etc..“
But before we dive right in, let us introduce ourselves in case this is your first visit. Welcome to The Creative and Ambitious Entrepreneur blog. We’re Jen and Elke Clarke. We are a mother and daughter team that started Zazzle e-commerce businesses over 10 years ago and have sold over 15 million dollars-worth and counting of products on Zazzle.
The Creative and Ambitious Entrepreneur blog is for you if you want to have a long term, passive, online business. We share actionable steps that you can take to make money through your Zazzle store. In each article, we will take you one step closer to achieving freedom with your time, location, and finances.
We believe that you can live your dream life if you have a passive, long term, profitable e-commerce online business. We will show you what to do to work smarter, not harder, the right tools to use and what proven roadmap to follow to make your dream life happen. Let’s get started!
Before you start to design graduation products for your Zazzle store you’ll want to do some research to see what’s popular this year. A great place to look to see what’s trending is on Pinterest as well as the Zazzle marketplace. Pay attention to the colors and graphics being used as well as the font styles.
It is also important to keep in mind that the school names are often trademarked and you shouldn’t use them in your designs, even in the template fields.
Here’s a top tip for you before we dive into the types of graduation products you can add to your store. Most graduation designs on Zazzle include the year, for example Class of 2021. Make use of the editable template text so that the year can be changed by customers in the future. This takes your seasonal graduation design and turns it into an evergreen product that could earn you money for years to come.
If you don’t know how to take advantage of the personalization options in the Zazzle design tool check out our signature training course The Profit by Design Academy™ because we cover all of that and more in Module Two.

Did you know that Zazzle is the only Print on Demand (POD) company that gives customers the option to personalize your designs right there on the page? Almost all of the $15 million dollars-worth of products we have sold on Zazzle have customizable text and photo templates, and that includes invitations.
If you guessed that the best selling items in the graduation niche are invitations and announcement cards then you’d be right!
Graduation invitations are sent out ahead of the ceremony to invite friends and family members to a party to celebrate. This year many families might find themselves under local restrictions so make a virtual or drive by party invitation as well as the regular one.
Announcement cards are often sent out after the ceremony and many parents like to include a photograph of their child in their graduation outfit so be sure to include a photo template in your design.
You can add to your invitation suite by including coordinating accessories like stickers, return address labels and even envelopes.
This year many families will be able to throw a party to celebrate their grad so you should design graduation party supplies to sell in your Zazzle store.
For party supplies think paper plates, cups and napkins. Also consider edible treats like cookies or brownies. Yes, on Zazzle you can even add your designs to food items!
Taking the elements from your invitations and turning them into party supplies is as easy as copy and paste. And if you haven’t learned that trick yet you’ll want to watch our Tech Training session to see how easy it is to work smarter not harder to grow your Zazzle business! Just hit the play button on the video below.
Last, but by no means least, design some keepsake gifts, both for the graduate and also for their family members. After all, what parent doesn’t want to wear a shirt telling the world that their child graduated college!
When designing graduation gifts, think about products that the grad can wear, like shirts, hoodies, mugs, or use like cell phone cases, keychains, mugs etc.. Zazzle even sells graduation cap toppers!
As always, look to see what is trending in the grad space this year. Designs with the graduating year sell well every year, as do those with quotes or sayings.
Photo keepsakes like paperweights, wooden blocks and even throw pillows make great gifts for parents and grandparents. Again think about creating photo versions so they can include a picture of the grad all dressed up in their cap and gown.
Congratulations! Now you know three ways to sell graduation products on Zazzle:
Don’t forget to make virtual and drive by versions of those invitations for those who aren’t able to celebrate in person this year!
