When you start any business that is different from the common 9-5 job, many things change. In order to make your business successful, there is a lot that goes into it. If you don’t set up your business properly, it will be difficult to make a profit.
When you are creating products with your designs on them to sell on Zazzle, you have to look at the designs as investments that will create long-term passive income for you. Focus on creating products that are going to continuously and consistently make you money. When you understand the process of the Zazzle platform you can use your previous successes to help you predict your future income.
When you transition for working a 9-5 job to being an entrepreneur creating a business on the Zazzle platform is understanding that you should no longer be trading your hours for dollars. You won’t get paid more if you put in more hours.
It’s important to instead work efficiently and create designs that will give you repetitive cash flow even when you are not working.
In Jen and I’s journey, we have used a business framework, The 3 Pillars™, to set up the foundations in our businesses so that we could achieve success. These 3 Pillars™ are Perceivable, Passive, Profitable.
The 3 Pillars: Perceivable, Passive, Profitable™ and what they mean:
1. Is your business Perceivable?
– You must believe that you can achieve success in your business. Do you believe it is possible for you?
– Your business must align with your dream business goals. Even before you make money, align how you run your business with your dreams, like how much time you spend working.
– Have a proven roadmap to follow and the skills to succeed in your business. Do you have these locked in? The Profit by Design Academy™️ Coaching Program provides you with a proven roadmap, and the design and business skills to succeed on Zazzle.
2. Is your business Passive?
– Make sure the platform you are using is what is best for you. Zazzle is an amazing e-commerce platform that allows you to sell online with little effort and you get paid a royalty.
– In a passive income business, you should not be trading your time for dollars. Consider the products you sell on Zazzle as your workers so that you don’t have to work after you post them for sale. Are your products giving you a passive income business?
– Ensure your business creates long-term passive income. This is possible using Zazzle because you can make a product once and it can sell over and over again for years.
3. Is your business Profitable?
– Revenue minus expenses = Profit.
– Decide how much profit you want to make. Is your business making the money you want as a payout for the least amount of time you spend on it?
– Profit also comes from reducing expenses which includes your time. Make sure that you find the number of hours that work best for you to reach the level of income you want to have. You want to make sure you can create a comfortable living so you can live the life you want to have!
Now that you know about The 3 Pillars, start implementing them in your business.
There are 3 things you can do right now that will help you put these into practice right away:
1. Your Perceivable Action Step: Journal about what’s holding you back from believing that this is possible for you. Think about the reasons you are not successful right now. What is going on in your business?
2. Your Passive Action Step: Find out how many hours on average you work a week on your side hustle (Zazzle) and what you get paid. Then, do the math to find your hourly wage. If you made $10 in the week and worked 10 hours, your hourly wage is $1 an hour. This can be really gut-wrenching when you first realize how much money you are making versus how much time you are putting into your business, but it’s crucial information that will help guide you to make changes.
3. Your Profitable Action Step: Assess how much you have made in one year on Zazzle business (or in your side hustle). Compare this number to the amount you need to earn to live your dream life. What’s the difference between the two numbers? What do you need in earnings to make your dream earnings goal happen? If you are struggling to make a profit then that may lead you to the realization that you need extra help. If that’s the case we highly recommend that you check out our Profit by Design Academy™️ Coaching Program.
We hope you have a much better understanding of how important it is to create a strong foundation for your business. That strong foundation is built by having a framework that works for you and your dream business goals. The only way to generate long-term passive income is by having a strong framework to go off of.
The 3 Pillars: Perceivable, Passive, Profitable™ have helped us become successful and have proven to be successful tools for our students as well! If you don’t set up your business properly you will miss out on creating your dream life.
