Establish, is crucial when you start your business. This is where you figure out your vision, your brand, your niche, and what your avatar is. You are creating a business that will be with you for a long period of time.
You want to make sure you have established your business properly. It is important to figure out a niche that encompasses all of the possible designs and products you want to create and sell. Usually, you pick this based on what you are familiar with and comfortable with.
Create, is the money maker. You must create products to sell in your Zazzle store in order to make money. This is obvious but important. We have heard some of our students say, “I have so many products but I can’t make a sale.” The truth is it’s not about making a ton of products, it’s about creating with intention.
Sometimes the product design needs to be tweaked or adjusted to be more interesting to the customer and encourage them to purchase it. It’s more than just posting a product for sale, there is the business aspect to posting in proper categories, titles for SEO, and design elements that you want to make sure look good to the customer and that these are also trending and in demand.
The Announce Strategy is all about promotion! Sometimes our students, or even Zazzle designers in general, are afraid of promotion and being too salesy. Whether that be externally on social media or internally on Zazzle, you must promote your products. Jen and I have developed our Announce Strategy so that it doesn’t come across as too salesy or pushy. Over the years, we have developed a great strategy for promotion of our Zazzle products, similar to what big corporations use. These corporations show social proof, rather than being in your face with promotion. It’s so effective that if you see their ad you suddenly want to buy the product. This is the kind of marketing and promotion that we teach you in The Profit by Design Academy™.
Align is Strategy #4. You must be aligned with your vision as a Zazzle designer and your business goals for the future. Your mindset and how you show up for your Zazzle business is key. If you want to achieve a certain earnings goal, you need to be aligned with that goal, otherwise it will be difficult to achieve it. Put processes into place to achieve your goals, like productivity methods and work on mindset shifts.
This final strategy, Analyze, can be a little scary to some people. It is, however, the most important because it will tell you whether your Zazzle store is working for you. This helps you understand what’s working, what’s not working, and gets you to dive deep into how you can move forward based on the information you’ve collected. If you’ve done the other 4 Zazzle strategies and implemented them properly, but something is still not working, you have to go back and figure out why it’s not working.
That’s Strategy #5 – Analyze
Your business won’t move forward or it will move forward very slowly, if you do not analyze the information you have available to review your progress. You have to hone in the nitty-gritty details. You can overlook small details, and without time to reflect on them, you can’t investigate to see what could be the cause behind your lack of success. You want to make sure you recognize those minor mistakes and go back to fix them. If you don’t recognize them, you will assume your products are perfect and everything is fine when it isn’t.
The 5 Zazzle Strategies are equally important because they all work together. You can’t just do one or the other, you must do all five. All these Zazzle strategies are essential for the success of your Zazzle business. If you want to learn how to implement The 5 Zazzle Strategies, we show you step by step in The Profit by Design Academy™.
