The Zazzle Designer Analytics Tool Reviewed by Elke Clarke Top Zazzle Seller

The Zazzle Designer Earnings Analytics Tool is a tool you should know about if you are a designer on Zazzle. As you know, it is important to analyze your Zazzle earnings. But you have to deal with the CSV files Zazzle provides. If you are not as skilled with Microsoft Excel™ then it is tough to get the most out of this valuable information.

That is why I was excited when one of my 5 Step Profit Plan VIP Mentoring Program™ Members, Danielle Fernandez, created The Zazzle Designer Earnings Analytics Tool. She has a background in finance and is an expert at using Microsoft Excel™. In this article, I interview Danielle. Plus, she provides a step-by-step tutorial on how to use her analytics tool. With her tool, you can quickly and easily get the data you need from your Zazzle CSV files to do your Zazzle sales analysis.

In this article, I introduce you to Danielle Fernandez. She has created a tool that can help you do the analysis of your Zazzle earnings data quickly and easily. That way you can take advantage of the information and use it to understand what is happening in your Zazzle business. Let’s face it dealing with numbers is not really at the top of any creative’s list of fun things to do. Also, not all of us are skilled at creating complicated Microsoft Excel formulas to translate the mass of data that comes in the CSV files and turn it into tables and graphs that are useful. But it is important to analyze your Zazzle sales data. In fact, it’s so important that it is part one of two parts in Step 5 of my 5-Step Profit Plan™ that I used to build my 7-figure-a-year Zazzle business.

Let’s dive right in because I want you to get to know Danielle and show you what her tool can do for you.

Tell us a bit about you and how you got started on Zazzle as a designer.

Hi, my name is Danielle Fernandez and I own and operate Danielle Fernandez Designs. I created my first product on Zazzle in 2015. It was a surprise birthday invitation for a friend of my mother. I made it public so others could buy it. Even though I didn’t really understand how it would sell on Zazzle and my template was full of mistakes, someone else managed to customize and purchase the invitations! I ended up making $7 that year.

In 2016, I decided to get more serious about Zazzle and took Elke’s 7 Days to Success Course™. I consider myself to be a “by the book” kind of person. If you give me instructions, I can feel like I can do anything. I loved Elke’s step-by-step course for beginners who are new to Zazzle like I was. After taking the course I saw a 3,809% increase in my royalty earnings.

What is your background and why are you so good with Microsoft Excel™?

My day job has been working for a large consulting firm in various areas of finance for the past 10+ years and I LOVE Microsoft Excel™. It’s a strange combination to have a love of both design and numbers! Once I started seeing an increase in my Zazzle sales after doing your 7 Days to Success Course™, the natural choice for me was to use Microsoft Excel™ to create a tool that would easily and quickly analyze my monthly Zazzle sales. I created a basic Microsoft Excel™ template that I used each month. I loved that it showed me my results quickly after I easily added my CSV data from Zazzle.

Why and how did you end up making The Zazzle Designer Earnings Analytics Tool?

When I had made back the money I spent on The 7 Days to Success Course™ from my increased Zazzle sales, I decided to purchase Elke’s second course, The 30 Day Profit Plan Course™. Back in 2017, the 2 courses were separate, but now you receive them together when you purchase The 5 Step Profit Plan VIP Mentoring Program™, of which I am a member.

The 30-Day Profit Plan Course™ covers the two parts of Step 5 (Analysis and Implementation) as Elke has mentioned. Elke’s course provides you with the instructions and tools to get the data from your Zazzle earnings. There are Worksheets, Graph Templates, and easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions on how to do the calculations to get the data for the analysis part.

But I LOVE using Microsoft Excel™, so I just felt more comfortable using that instead. I kept improving my basic Microsoft Excel™ template that I had started before. I added more calculation functions based on the data I needed to have to do the work in The 30-Day Profit Plan Course™.

It was at that point that I realized, maybe other Zazzle designers, who aren’t Microsoft Excel™ whizzes, could benefit from what I had built for myself.

Elke’s Review of The Zazzle Designer Earnings Analytics Tool

Danielle’s tool makes it easier to get the numbers into the format you need to do the work in The 30-Day Profit Plan Course™ and to run your business. However, I want to make it clear to you that the tool is NOT a requirement to complete my course nor to build a successful Zazzle business.

My course provides you with ALL that you need. You get the Worksheets, formulas, and instructions to easily calculate the data from your Zazzle earnings. You can do the coursework and build your Zazzle business using my 5-Step Profit Plan Program™ without the tool. What I provide in the course is the SAME SYSTEM I HAVE USED TO ANALYZE MY DATA FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. I built my Zazzle business without using Microsoft Excel in such a complex way as Danielle has set up.

However, now that I have tried Danielle’s Zazzle Designer Earnings Analytics Tool, I can see the benefits of it, if you have the Microsoft Excel™ software (it does not work without it) and you feel comfortable following her instructions exactly for adding your data to her tool.

An Aha Moment I Want to Share With You

When I first started using Danielle’s tool, I did not add the data correctly. I knew something was wrong because the graph and tables did not make sense. It is important to be able to double-check and see if the data in the tables and charts are consistent with what you expect. Then you will be able to trust the information.

AHA MOMENT = You must use the correct information and put it properly in the right spots in the tool in order for the tool to do the calculations properly and present you with the correct data.

Danielle was there to help me and will also support you if you need help. She also has a private Facebook group and topic threads set up to answer your questions.

If used correctly, Danielle’s Zazzle Designer Earnings Analytics Tool can be extremely useful in helping you see your Zazzle sales and earnings results at a glance in graphs and tables in ways that will help you with your analysis.

Zazzle Designer Earnings Analytics Tool Benefits

These are the benefits I see from using the tool:

  • it cuts down on the time it normally took me to get the data I needed to do my analysis
  • if you are using Microsoft Excel™ it eliminates the need for you to create your own templates and formulas to extract the information that you want from your Zazzle CVS files
  • the tool takes a large amount of data and turns it into usable information (for example many years of Zazzle sales and referrals)
  • plus, if you are not a course member, you can still use it to make sense of your Zazzle earnings information
  • provides a visual representation of your top products, top designs, all of your earnings broken out by royalty and referral by month and year, and much more

Thanks for the review Elke! I look forward to everyone’s feedback on the tool!

Holy Cow! I feel like Danielle got into my brain and figured out what I needed, then created that tool just for me! 🙂 To answer the questions: I do use excel, but I’m bunk at it so I usually end up spending more time trying to figure out how to use it than I do actually studying my data. So no, my excel sheets don’t provide a FRACTION of what Danielle’s tool does. The thing I like best about it is the ease of use – it really looks like it is going to be as simple as copy/paste and then I’ll be able to see my data in a way that my non-math/non-computer brain can comprehend. And as a member of the 5-Step Profit Plan I MOST DEFINITELY think this is a valuable tool. There’s so much data to analyze in the program – all of it quite useful, but it can be complicated to understand if you’re not a numbers-person.
I do have a question – do you copy/paste ALL your data values each month? I’m pretty new to Zazzle so I don’t have a lot of data, but do people run into snags when they have YEARS of data to copy/paste every month?
I’m very impressed with what I’ve seen here, and I’m excited to try it out with my own data.
      Thanks!
      Kate

Hi Danielle It was great to feature you and your Zazzle Designer Analytics Tool here on our site.

    • Elke Clarke

Hi Kate. So glad that you see the value of Danielle’s Zazzle Designer Earnings Analytics Tool, especially for people who are members of The 5 Step Profit Plan VIP Mentoring Program™ like yourself. To answer your question…Yes, you have to import your entire set of data that you want to compare each time you use the tool. It takes a little longer to add the CSV files into the tool if you have many years worth of Zazzle earnings data. Let me know what you think after you try it out the FREE WEEK TRIAL (click here to get the free trial)
