Is the Zazzle Promoter Program 2.0 Right For You?
The Zazzle Promoter Program 2.0 has been completely changed for the better compared to the Zazzle Promoter Program 1.0, which was cancelled in September 2019.
Is it possible to have one million in sales in 2020 on the ecommerce platform called Zazzle? The answer is “Yes!”. This is our second Zazzle ecommerce success story article that proves it’s possible to sell one million dollars-worth of Zazzle products. The difference between the first story (see Brandon’s story) and Christine’s story is that she did it during the pandemic in 2020 and all in one year!! Christine sets her royalty at 10%. That means from her one million in sales Christine earned $100,000 US in 2020 on Zazzle. Zazzle is a great way to earn money with ecommerce because 85-90% of the royalty earnings is profit. In this article, we will share with you her story and the tips she has for you if you want to achieve your dream earnings goal using Zazzle as a platform to start and scale your ecommerce online business.
“You never know which product is going to take off and be a runaway best seller. The secret is to understand what the customer needs and serve them with your designs.“
But before we dive right in, let us introduce ourselves in case this is your first visit. Welcome to The Creative and Ambitious Entrepreneur blog. We’re Jen and Elke Clarke. We are a mother and daughter team that started Zazzle e-commerce businesses over 10 years ago and have sold over 15 million dollars-worth and counting of products on Zazzle.
The Creative and Ambitious Entrepreneur blog is for you if you want to have a long term, passive, online business. We share actionable steps that you can take to make money through your Zazzle store. In each article, we will take you one step closer to achieving freedom with your time, location, and finances.
We believe that you can live your dream life if you have a passive, long term, profitable e-commerce online business. We will show you what to do to work smarter, not harder, the right tools to use and what proven roadmap to follow to make your dream life happen. Let’s get started!
When we, Jen and Elke, started our own Zazzle businesses more than 10 years ago there was no one to show us what to do. We had to learn everything through trial and error so we wasted many years.
In Elke’s first year on Zazzle, she only earned 90 dollars, but she persevered. Over time she figured out what she needed to do to build a successful 6 figure ecommerce business on Zazzle. Elke developed The 5 Strategies™ that both Jen and Elke used and still use to be successful on Zazzle.
Fast forward to today and we have earned a combined amount of $1.5 million dollars on Zazzle. That means we have sold $15 million dollars-worth of Zazzle products because we set our royalty at 10%.
Our Zazzle success stories are attributed to The 5 Strategies: Establish, Create, Announce, Align, Analyze™ which we developed and now teach our students in our signature course The Profit by Design Academy™.
Christine also struggled on her own for the first two years that she was on Zazzle, making only $132 in total in her Zazzle business. Then she joined our signature course in 2018, and the rest as they say is history.
In the first year, after enrolling in The Profit by Design Academy™, Christine increased her Zazzle lifetime earnings from $132 to $3,800!
In the second year she did even better and made $33,000! Impressive right!
Last year, in 2020, while the world was in the grips of a global pandemic, Christine made over $100,000 in her Zazzle business!
That means she sold one million dollars-worth of Zazzle products in 2020 at a 10% royalty.
She’s not planning on stopping any time soon either, and while it’s only April 2021 at the time of writing this article, Christine tells us that this year (2021) she is on track to make $200,000!
Are you ready to hear more about how she became a Zazzle ecommerce success story?

Christine lives in the Philippines and calls herself “just a regular person”. She has a business degree but no design skills and she works in her family business during the day and works on her Zazzle business at night.
Christine wanted to build a business of her own that would create passive income online since she was busy working with her parents. Plus she wanted the freedom to travel and earn money while she was not working. The first thing she tried was a Wedding blog and was making money being an affiliate.
She actually discovered Zazzle because she was looking for affiliate programs to join and promote on her website to earn a passive income. Soon she found that running a blog was quite expensive as she had lots of running costs to pay out and thought there must be a smarter way to make money with ecommerce.
In 2016, Christine realized that she could design products on Zazzle as well as promote them. She signed up and started making t-shirt designs and posting them for sale in her Zazzle store. Christine loved the idea of running an online passive income business on Zazzle because it was free to get started and there were no ongoing costs. She thought if it didn’t work out she hadn’t lost anything by trying.
Two years later she got an email from Zazzle to say that she had earned money in her store. This was when she decided to put more effort into her Zazzle business. Being the smart entrepreneur that she is she decided that since she didn’t really know what she was doing she needed to go and look for someone who could teach her what to do.
She searched online and found our beginner’s course. It was a huge deal for her to sign up because the course cost almost as much as she had earned in the first two years of her business, but she knew it was a sound investment and so she jumped in (and we are so glad that she joined our community!)
From there she joined the course that is now known as The Profit by Design Academy™.
In Christine’s world, before she discovered Zazzle, being a business owner meant owning a physical store, like her parents have. That meant getting up early, opening the store, counting your inventory, closing the store. Working 9 to 5. In that business model you have to physically serve the customer in order to get paid.
With Zazzle she doesn’t have to do any of that. She doesn’t have to speak to the customer, or take their order, or wrap their products to ship them out. Christine publishes her designs in her online Zazzle store and then Zazzle takes care of the rest.
Since she is in the Philippines and most of her customers are in the USA she literally earns money while she is sleeping!
Christine loves the fact that her Zazzle business is location-independent. As long as she has a laptop and an internet connection she can run her business from literally anywhere in the world at any time of day. Owning a Zazzle business has changed her life. She has been able to take care of her family, and spend time travelling (before Covid hit of course!)
If someone had told her that in just three years after joining The Profit by Design Academy™ she’d be earning more than $10,000 a month she wouldn’t have been able to imagine it.
We love Christine’s no nonsense attitude and we think that it’s one of the reasons why she’s the student that earned $100,000 in a single year the fastest. When she sees an opportunity she takes action. That’s why Christine is an ecommerce success story.
The great thing about Zazzle is that unlike a salaried job the earning potential is limitless. Christine knows that if she puts the work in now and builds a strong foundation for her business that the sky’s the limit for her income potential. When you build your own Zazzle business you are no longer tied to the concept that hours worked equals money earned. Each product that you make can sell over and over again for years to come.
Christine only has a few hours in the evenings to spend on her Zazzle business because she works during the day 9 to 5 in her parent’s business. She was happy when she found out that we recommend working on Zazzle 20 hours a month using The 5 Strategies™ taught in The Profit by Design Academy™. She uses her time wisely so while she commutes she watches our training videos, or carries out research on trends and design ideas. Then when she is on her computer, she is extremely effective at posting products and promoting to use her 20 hours a month strategically for maximum results.
Christine loves the step-by-step approach that we teach in our course. She does research and the course training to only make products that have a good chance of selling on Zazzle
Lots of people think that they have to work many hours to earn money on Zazzle, but we teach our students how to be successful in just 20 hours a month. Yes, that’s 20 hours a month, not a week!
Christine is a testament to the fact that limiting your time doesn’t limit your chances of success, quite the opposite in fact, because it forces you to be intentional with the time you do have.
In The Profit by Design Academy™ we teach our students how to build a strong foundation for their Zazzle businesses by setting their stores up properly from the outset. Creating a good foundation helped Christine to not get stressed out when there are days that she just doesn’t want to work on her business. We all have those days right? The key is that Christine even though she does need to work on her Zazzle business she can schedule time for when she is free.
One of Christine’s main goals is to earn a passive income online. She loves how she has invested money in the course and her time in setting up her store and creating her designs and now she is collecting her “free money”.
We’ve been on Zazzle now for almost 14 years and these days we only spend 4-5 hours a month maintaining our Zazzle business. With our coaching, Christine is working on building her Zazzle store to work only 4 hours a month while continuing to increase her income..
Christine’s bestseller is a Holiday announcement card. It was a very basic design and it didn’t take her long to create but by December it was selling like hotcakes.
You never know which product is going to take off and be a runaway best seller. The secret is to understand what the customer needs and serve them with your designs.
The key to selling well on Zazzle is that you add a great design to create a desirable product that the Zazzle customer wants to buy and then you do that many times so that you have a great inventory of products that sell consistently.
Before Christine joined our course members community she had taken various courses to help her learn about blogging or design skills and had found them all too technical and hard to follow and impersonal.
She loved how The Profit by Design Academy™ was laid out with step-by-step actions that she could easily follow. She found it so easy to understand and saw results when she implemented the The 5 Strategies™ training.
Christine wasn’t a designer when she first opened her Zazzle store but over the years she has taken our Elements of Design Bootcamp and Wedding Invitation Bootcamp courses in addition to the design training she received in The Profit by Design Academy™.
These Zazzle specific courses have helped her to develop the skills she needs to design great products that customers just can’t stop buying.
She doesn’t even need to use expensive software like Photoshop because she learned how to create her best selling designs right in the Zazzle Design Tool.
Christine loves to be a part of our course member’s community because she has come to realise that there will be times when she doesn’t know how to do something. Instead of stressing about it, or searching for an answer, she can simply ask the question and we (or one of our wonderful community members) will point her in the right direction.
She finds it very uplifting to be part of a group of people all around the world who share the same goals, are on the same journey and help each other out.
