Some Zazzle designers believe it’s not possible to hit higher income levels such as $100,000 a year. They see making money around $100 or even a couple thousand as easy, but hundreds of thousands seem unattainable. This is one of the biggest mindset shifts you have to make. Believe it is possible and those sales to get you there are possible for your Zazzle business. It’s possible because we’ve done it.
What’s important here is to understand that we’ve been in your shoes, when we first started, we made $90 in our first year on Zazzle.
Elke made $2,300 in her second year. She thought that was a lot of money for what she was able to do on Zazzle at that time. With that in mind, it stopped Elke from thinking she could make more, she wanted to make more but she couldn’t imagine it happening and that she should just be satisfied with her current earnings. Once she realized that she shouldn’t set the bar so low for herself, she aimed for making 5-figures. That was only a partial mindset shift, she was only aiming to earn anywhere from $10,000 to $99,999. She went on to make $37,000 in her third year. $50,000 was earned the year after that, and then eventually $67,000 the year after. Each year she got higher, and always thought it was a lot of money. She needed to take those steps gradually because she didn’t believe in herself enough. Elke’s mind was still not aligned with the possibility that $100,000 a year was possible on Zazzle for her, even though that is how much she wanted to earn..
It wasn’t until her sixth year on Zazzle that she hit the 6 figure mark. That is when she finally realized it was possible. Our hope for you is that when you read this blog post, you don’t let it take that long. Understand you can do it much quicker if you just do the mindset work now rather than six years down the road. Jen had the same mindset problem and had to make the shift. To this day, our Zazzle students and many designers put a cap on their earnings just because it seems like a lot. We can’t make income claim statements but it is doable because we have done it and our students have done it as well.
It’s important to implement EACH ONE of The 5 Strategies that we teach in The Profit By Design Academy™ in order to reach the 6-figure mark. We had Strategies #1, 2, 3, and 5 implemented well, but it wasn’t until we implemented Strategy #4 (alignment of our goals and mindset) that we saw 6-figure results. Ask yourself, how can you make the shift to say it’s possible? We hope our story resonates with you, and lets you know it’s possible for you too.
This is a crucial mindset shift that needs to take place. If you want to make that much money (6-figures), you have to give yourself permission. This is because in our minds and within our surroundings, you will receive feedback. That feedback could be subconscious, you may receive feedback that what you’re doing on Zazzle isn’t a real job. You may get opinions from others that what you are doing isn’t a valid and true way to make money. This can result in you taking on that same energy and believing it’s not okay to pursue your dreams by using Zazzle and creating an online business.
There’s a lot of mindset work to be done to accept that 6-figures is a possibility for you and that you have the permission to earn it. You have to ask yourself, are you being influenced by other people and is that the way you want to live. Or, do you prefer to follow your heart and intuition? By answering this and determining what feels aligned with you, then you will give yourself permission to pursue Zazzle and make the money you want. That’s when you start to realize you are permitting Zazzle to be a way to make enough money to live comfortably and do what you want to do.
We want you to have an income to not only survive and live, but we want you to enjoy life. Money is a tool. It’s not the end goal. Money is a way to achieve the things you’ve always wanted such as traveling, giving back to charity, and paying off your house. You’re also giving yourself permission to make your dreams a reality.
So many of us are trained as we grow up to believe that if we work hard, we may end up with our dream life in the very end. We also tend to not receive permission to go after our wildest dreams, so this is your time to step up and give yourself that permission finally.

Let’s say you’re on Zazzle, working hard, doing as many things as possible but feel like you’re not getting where you need to go. Part of the reason this is happening is because you believe that you will reach a certain goal with a certain set of actions. Whereas, those actions are only getting your current results. Now you have to reframe your mind and realize those actions get you those results, so what new actions do you need to take to get to the 6-figure mark? It’s a huge mindset shift because we already feel like we’re working hard and we have the best intentions. The problem is we don’t seek the help, even though we don’t know what those different actions are that have to be taken in order to achieve different results. We think trying harder will get the results, when it’s actually a mindset shift which is required. That results in us taking different actions which will lead to different results.
This can turn into a frustration cycle where you ultimately want to quit. You have to make the switch and realize new actions will get you new results. This is key, and you can’t make those decisions until you handle the first and second mindset shifts. When you don’t face these mindset shifts you need to overcome, it can affect a lot of things from your productivity, decision making, and what your outcome will be.
A lot of Zazzle designers work very hard and don’t get the results they want. So be sure you’re open to the possibilities that there’s a better way for you to go about doing things.
The three mindset shifts that Zazzle creatives need to make to reach 6-figures are to understand it’s possible to earn that money, give yourself permission to make that money, and be open to the possibilities that there are other actions you can take to earn 6-figures. Remember that these are the essential mindset shifts that have to take place if you want to reach 6-figures. While it may be difficult at first, we would love to hear what happens for you after you work through these mindset shifts.
