How To Achieve Your Big Zazzle Earnings Dream Goal by Elke Clarke Top Zazzle Earner

Do you have a big dream Zazzle earnings goal? If you don’t, you should set a goal for yourself. Why? Because if you don’t have a big goal, you will not achieve it. When I first started on Zazzle, I set my ultimate dream goal of 1 million dollars in Zazzle earnings. It seemed a crazy high amount, especially since I was brand new, just learning, and had not made a single sale. But I knew someday I would achieve my million-dollar goal. I just needed to do the work and put in the time to set up my Zazzle business correctly. That is why, with my ultimate goal in mind, over the years, I set smaller achievable stretch goals, each of which would bring me closer to my final big Zazzle earnings goal.

On my journey to Zazzle’s success, I learned many valuable lessons about what to do and what not to do. Keep reading to find out what you can do today to start achieving your big Zazzle earnings goal.

How To Achieve Your Dream Zazzle Earnings Goal

In 2017, I reached my million-dollar Zazzle earnings goal. Crazy!!! Right??? I am not telling you this to brag. No. I am telling you this because I want you to know it is possible to achieve a goal that seems unrealistic. I want to be clear. Zazzle is NOT a get-rich-quick scheme. Absolutely not. It took me 10 years of hard work, many failures, and overcoming many obstacles before I made 1 million dollars on Zazzle.

But now that I have achieved my goal, I am proud of my accomplishments and feel empowered to set even higher goals for myself.

I hope my story inspires you to do the same.

Do What You Love and Actually Earn a Living

Imagine doing what you love, being creative, and earning an online income from Zazzle. It is possible. Many people who sell their designs, photography, and art on Zazzle earn good money.

But it can also sometimes seem impossible to make money on Zazzle. Why? Because we are creative people and don’t have business training or in some cases don’t even like anything to do with business or selling. So when we don’t see sales we think it will never work. Disappointment sets in and we give up, thinking that we gave it our best shot and nobody wants to buy our beautiful work.

But here is the secret. You must run your Zazzle store like a business to be successful. Keep reading to find out what that means.

My Zazzle Earnings Goal Journey

When I started on Zazzle, I figured I could just upload my art and photography and people would magically buy my products.

I never considered the business side of things. Can you imagine? I did not even think about whether the customers even wanted what I was offering. With no plan to achieve this wild goal I had set for myself or any realistic expectations on when I could achieve my goal, I was destined to fail right from the start. I was unorganized, without direction, yet figured I should just make money because my stuff was great and I had it on many products for sale.

Over the years, after much disappointment, I realized I was so wrong.

I learned that in order to achieve my big Zazzle earnings goal, I needed a plan of action, realistic expectations, a better understanding of how things worked, in addition to believing I could achieve my big Zazzle earnings dream goal.

Use a Proven Plan of Action to Achieve Your Zazzle Earnings Goal

Over the years, I made a lot of mistakes and did not see the earnings I wanted. It was only once I had developed a complete plan of action that I began to see big increases in my earnings. I went from making $2,380 in 2008 to $37,000 in 2009. (See the graph below.)

That was when I knew my plan worked. I kept seeing dramatic increases in my Zazzle earnings every year after that.

My plan involved making sure I actually took action and worked hard but also in a smart way.

I also addressed 5 key areas that are vital to the success of my Zazzle business. These areas are planning and set-up, mindset, and goals, product production, promotion, and analysis. This became my 5-Step Profit Plan because by implementing the 5 steps, I started to see big profits, as you can see in the chart above.

My profit plan has worked for me to this day. In fact, for the past 6 years, I have earned over 100K every year.

My 5-Step Profit Plan even helped me keep my income up after the Volume bonus change at Zazzle in 2013. It truly has stood the test of time.

Set Realistic Expectations

If you set your Zazzle earnings goal as 1 million dollars in your first year, you would fail. If you take up running today, you can not run a marathon tomorrow and expect to win or even complete the race. You have to be realistic. You will eventually achieve your goal to win a marathon but you first have to run a shorter distance and then gradually work your way up to your higher goal.

This process is exactly the same as earning money on Zazzle. It takes hard work and time. You need to have many things in place in order that sales to become consistent and continually increase.

How Long Did It Take Me To Start Earning 5-Figures?

It took me 2 years to achieve an income of $2,380. It was only in the third year that I earned $37,000.

Today, I think it would not take me so long to see a more substantial income, because now Zazzle has a wider reach, more product types to sell and there are more people who shop online compared to 10 years ago.

My Advanced Zazzle Course Member is on Track to Earn 5-Figures in His First Year

In fact, it is possible to reach $2,500 in 5 months, because one of my Advanced Zazzle course students has achieved this. Brandon started the course in July 2017 and by the end of November, he had made $2,500. He achieved this with a brand new store and followed my 5-Step Profit Plan (which is taught in my 30-Day Profit Plan Advanced Zazzle Course). At first, he made a few sales. Then in month 3, he made a few hundred dollars. After this, his sales took off and continue to grow.

With his Zazzle store and business set up properly using my 5-Step Profit Plan (planning and set-up, mindset and goals, product production, promotion, and analysis), Brandon is on track to reach $10,000 in his first year after taking the course. With the right steps to follow, you can begin to see how you can reach your Zazzle earnings goal.

Set Your Goals in the 5-Step Profit Plan

My 5-Step Profit Plan for Zazzle Success:

Step 1 = Planning and Set Up

Complete your Zazzle store setup to achieve a high zRank score.

Step 2 = Mindset and Goals

Have techniques in place to maintain a positive mindset, like mentors and people with the same objectives and attitude.

Set a realistic stretch goal yearly based on your previous earnings and your commitment to taking action in the future.

Step 3 = Production

Make products customers want to buy. It seems obvious but this is quite difficult if you do not have a step-by-step process to follow.

Step 4 = Promotion

Take the correct action steps to have your products found on Zazzle and Google.

Step 5 =  Analysis

Take your results and continually analyze them to see what is working and what is not.

Based on the above descriptions, you can now set high-level action steps for each of your businesses.

I plan on taking your course eventually, but don’t have the money right now. I started my Zazzle store around the beginning of January, and I wish I had known about the fact that you can’t change the name of your store. I named it Wolf Moon Photography, and have since found out there is another page on Facebook with the same name, and the domain name has been taken. I changed my Facebook name to Wolf Moon Art and Design, and I tried changing my Zazzle store name to the same, and it’s showing at that name when I log on, but when they show sales to me and pending payments, it shows the original name. Oh, well! Too late now! I have set a goal for myself of making at least 100 products a month in my store. I have almost set that goal for the end of February. Didn’t quite make it the first month, but I’m currently at 180 products, so I think I will make the goal by the end of the month. I’m excited! I also have a Z rank of 4, so I guess I’m doing something right. I still have to upload a logo.

    • KAREN COFFELT

I’ve already checked to see if the domain name for Wolf Moon Art and Design was available, and it is, so I grabbed it. I have one free month to design a web page with GoDaddy, where I purchased my domain name, but I’m clueless as to how to set it up beyond the first page. I want to have it primarily to sell prints and canvases of my photos, but would also like to link it to my Zazzle store. I hadn’t thought about opening the new Zazzle store with the correct name, but you’re right, I did spend an awful lot of time on the products that I already have in my current store. It’s now up to almost a hundred and ninety products, and it took me almost 2 months to get there. If I had more time I could get it done. I’ll seriously think about it. Thanks for your advice!

    • Karen

I just published my new website and now have a business email to go with it. I’m so excited! I feel like I’m now official! I have also opened a new store in Zazzle, so I’ve just started the process of redoing all my products and reposting in the new store and deleting from the old store as I get them reposted in the old one. This is going to take some time, so it will set me back on my goal of 100 products a month, unless I get some unexpected extra time. It is what it is.

    • KAREN COFFELT

Thank you! I’m about halfway done getting all of my products transferred from the old store to the new store. Should be done by the end of the month, and then I can get back to designing new products.

    • Paul Winter

My goals are quite modest really. I have a long term illness and hate not being able to earn a living again. I only need to make about $6,000 a year so I can stop claiming benefits. At least that’s my first goal. I’m honestly not interested in earning a six figure income or anything, it would be nice, but it isn’t in the forefront of my thinking. I’ve been unable to work for 12 years. There is a possibility of me recovering from my illness, but at 58 years old, and 12 years out of the workplace, the chances of finding a job are small.

I’ve tried various ways to make money online over the years. I’ve wasted money I really couldn’t afford to spend on courses and supposed businesses in a box. Apart from making a little money on Squidoo before it closed down, nothing I have tried has really worked.

I found Zazzle a couple of years ago, but didn’t post anything until last year. I made a small sale within a week. This proved to me that it is possible. Then my illness got the better of me and I found working on the computer too exhausting. At the moment I’m reasonably well, so I posted a few more designs a couple of weeks ago and made another sale. My biggest challenges are: learning how to design things that will sell; learning the software I need to do so; the time needed on the computer to produce and promote things, and working around an unpredictable illness.

Are the earnings you mention in this article purely from Zazzle or are you including what you are making from your courses and mentoring?

Thank you for all you share on your blog, Facebook page and YouTube. I can’t afford your courses at the moment, and I think the 7 day one may be too basic for me. But I probably will buy your advanced course when I make my first few hundred dollars on Zazzle. 🙂
