Should you have one Zazzle Store or multiple Zazzle stores for success? My daughter, Jen Clarke, and I, Elke Clarke, get asked this question a lot because we are E-Commerce Business Coaches. Plus we own million-dollar E-Commerce online businesses using Zazzle as a platform. So we can definitely help you get your answer. It’s a great question because so much of your business setup rides on having that perfect online Zazzle store to make sales.
- Do you create a store for every niche?
- Do you have one store and lots of categories for each niche?
It can be confusing and stressful making this decision. That’s why in this article, Jen and I will give you our advice based on our 12 years of Zazzle experience.
Decide Your Niche(s) Before You Set Up Your Zazzle Store or Multiple Zazzle Store
Finding the niches you want to create products for in your online ONE or MULTIPLE Zazzle stores is not easy. So here are some questions to ask yourself to narrow it down.
- What do you love doing?
- Do you have interests that you know a lot about?
- What creative skills do you have? Art? Photography? Graphic Design?
- Are you drawn to a certain design style or set of colors or theme?
- What unique designs and interests can you offer that no one else can?
Once you have answered these questions, you will have narrowed it down to a few niches. Perfect.
One Zazzle Store, Many Niches
The first option for your Zazzle store is “One Zazzle Store, Many Niches”. If the niches that you have chosen all have a common theme then you can put all your products in ONE Zazzle store. It will be cohesive and make sense to the customer. That is the ultimate goal.
For example, if you had nature photography, motivational quotes, and text-based designs for occasions and business with a modern clean design style. Those all could be in one Zazzle store. Each niche would have its own category with the design style as the commonality.
However, niches like politics, occasions, and yoga would all have separate stores.
Multiple Zazzle Stores, Each with One Niche
The second option for your Zazzle store is “Multiple Zazzle Stores, Each with One Niche”. If the niches that you have chosen DON’T have a common theme then you must create SEPARATE MULTIPLE Zazzle stores for each niche. By separating out the niches, it will be cohesive and make sense to the customer when they come to any of your stores. That is the ultimate goal.
The example from above all would be best as separate stores with your interests and niches being politics, occasions, and yoga.
The Downside of Multiple Zazzle Stores
Even though Zazzle Stores are virtual and would appear to be easy to keep up with, they are not.
Zazzle has many requirements that need to be done for each store to achieve a good zRank score. The zRank score is important because it gets you to do the things that make your store look professional so that you make sales.
Zazzle Experts’ Recommendation – One OR Multiple Zazzle Stores?
Jen and I have created many stores on Zazzle in different niches. We have learned the hard way that it takes lots of effort to keep each store fresh and selling products.
We recommend starting with ONE store for our students in The Profit by Design Academy™, even if they have multiple niches. By using the correct store name and organizing the store categories properly, you can sell successfully in all your niches in one store.

Thanks. I have 32 stores but not a ton of sales. I always thought more stores and more products would equal more sales but I have been stuck at Bronze for years when I really want to be Silver or even better Diamond level seller at Zazzle.
Cassie, the store number is not as important as providing unique products that the customer desires that are well designed and easy to customize. Our signature course, The Profit by Design Academy™ has several modules that teach you how to define what your customer wants, create well designed products that are desirable to the customer and how to ensure the products are found by the customer so they can buy them.
