Is the Zazzle Promoter Program 2.0 Right For You?
The Zazzle Promoter Program 2.0 has been completely changed for the better compared to the Zazzle Promoter Program 1.0, which was cancelled in September 2019.
Do you avoid setting big goals because you’re worried you won’t be able to reach them? In this article we’re going to show you how to achieve your goals on Zazzle by working backwards.
The technical term for this goal setting hack is reverse engineering, and it’s a subtle mindshift that can make those big goals much more perceivable. Read on to learn how to do it.
“To achieve a big goal, work backwards to create a strategy.”
But before we dive right in, let us introduce ourselves in case this is your first visit. Welcome to The Creative and Ambitious Entrepreneur blog. We’re Jen and Elke Clarke. We are a mother and daughter team that started Zazzle e-commerce businesses over 10 years ago and have sold over 15 million dollars-worth and counting of products on Zazzle.
The Creative and Ambitious Entrepreneur blog is for you if you want to have a long term, passive, online business. We share actionable steps that you can take to make money through your Zazzle store. In each article, we will take you one step closer to achieving freedom with your time, location, and finances.
We believe that you can live your dream life if you have a passive, long term, profitable e-commerce online business. We will show you what to do to work smarter, not harder, the right tools to use and what proven roadmap to follow to make your dream life happen. Let’s get started!
Our million dollar Zazzle businesses are built on a foundation we call The 3 Pillars™, the first of which is “Perceivable”. In order for you to achieve any goal you set you have to perceive it. You have to believe that it’s possible for you to meet that goal. But what if you have big goals? Goals that might seem daunting right now with no clarity as to how to achieve them. This is where it helps to work backwards to achieve your goals. Here’s how to do that in three simple steps.

The first thing you need to do is state your goal. For this example we will use a Zazzle earnings goal. It helps if your goal is a numerical one, so if your goal is to retire your husband, or put your kids through college, sit down and figure out what that looks like in numerical terms.
Let’s say for the sake of this example that you want to make $5,000 a month in Zazzle royalties.
If the number you write down for your goal seems daunting don’t worry about it. Don’t make that number smaller to make it seem easier to reach. This is only step one and there is more work to do.
Now we’re going to look at things backwards to reverse engineer the goal we just set.
In Step 1 we set a monthly goal of $5,000. That’s a pretty big number. We want our goal to be perceivable so let’s make it smaller. Not by reducing the goal, but by breaking it down into a daily goal instead.
$5,000 divided by 30 days in a month is $167. Already that’s looking less scary right?
It’s still an abstract number though so we need to tie it to something tangible. Like a product.
Let’s say that your best selling product right now is a tote bag. They sell for $9.95 and your 10% royalty per order is $1. To meet your daily goal of $167 you need to sell 167 tote bags. But can you sell 167 tote bags every day of the year? No! So let’s keep making it easier!
By breaking your big monthly goal down into a smaller daily goal and then into a product goal you are able to see what actions you need to take.
Did you look at that goal of 167 tote bag sales a day and think that looked like a scary number? It’s true, finding 167 people to buy one of your tote bags everyday could be tricky.
What if they were aimed at something that was bought in bulk? In the wedding niche, if the tote bag has the bride and groom’s names and the date of their wedding then they could be used for wedding gifts for a destination wedding.
The average number of guests at a destination wedding is 85. Instead of finding 167 people to buy one tote bag you only need two brides to order 85 each and you’ve met your daily goal! Easy!
Does your goal look more achievable now that you’ve broken it down into smaller chunks?
The three steps to achieving your goals are:
Go through your product portfolio and calculate how many of each item you need to sell to meet your daily goal. It’s an eye opening exercise and one that will help you decide which product types to focus your efforts on.
