HOLIDAY TRENDS FOR 2017 #1:

MAKE WATERCOLOR FOLIAGE AND FLOWER DESIGNS

Watercolor foliage and flower designs have been extremely popular this year, no matter what the season. It has been a staple throughout and it makes sense that it would be a holiday trend for 2017 on Zazzle.

Make holiday flat cards, postcards, and greeting cards with wreaths, flowers, and foliage. This type of design adds a nice artistic touch to your product. Add watercolor elements on top of a placement photo, or make the main focus your watercolor design.

Believe me, this holiday trend for 2017 is going to be extremely popular. Do not forget to make matching postage, stickers, address labels, and any other stationery products to go with your design.

Here are two different examples with the same watercolor design for this holiday trend for 2017.

HOLIDAY TRENDS FOR 2017 # 2:

MAKE WATERCOLOR BRUSH STROKE DESIGNS

Watercolor will be a very popular holiday trend for 2017. Watercolor elements can also be used to add elegant simplicity to your holiday cards. Play with different brush strokes, colors, and sizes to get the effect that you want.

Simplicity goes a long way with this holiday trend for 2017.

Remember, once again, make matching stationery products to all your holiday trends for 2017 products.

HOLIDAY TRENDS FOR 2017 #3:

MAKE SCRIPT AND TYPOGRAPHY DESIGNS

The script, typography, and handwritten and calligraphy designs have been very popular on Zazzle lately. So it is a no-brainer that it will be one of the holiday trends for 2017 this year. Playing with different fonts, and arranging the letters and words in an artistic way is a great way to make a catchy and popular design.

Be creative! Let the words speak for your design. Make one font your dominant design element and build your product from there.

As always, make matching products to create a holiday collection!

HOLIDAY TRENDS FOR 2017 #4:

MAKE GOLD AND SILVER FOIL CARDS

Zazzle recently launched a very exciting element to their real gold and silver foil greeting cards. This is going to be an extremely popular product this holiday season and will definitely be a holiday trend. They are quite simple to make.

You can virtually turn any element you want, whether it be fonts or graphics, into the silver or gold foil on the outside of the folded cards.

Remember, the back of the greeting card is also printed with real foil. Take advantage of this by adding a cute pattern or design on the back of the card!

HOLIDAY TRENDS FOR 2017 #5:

USE GEMSTONE COLORS

Using trending color schemes for your products is a definite must.

This year your color palette should be filled with light and dark gemstone colors.

Think rubies, emeralds, amethysts, and yellow sapphires. These rich colors will be abundant this holiday season, so make sure you are using them in your designs! Play around with complimenting colors as well to make your products pop.

HOLIDAY TRENDS FOR 2017 #6:

MAKE PRODUCTS WITH CATCHY SAYINGS

Everyone loves a good holiday song, saying, or greeting. So why not make cards and products with your favorite holiday expressions? Play with the words from your favorite holiday song or moments and create a beautiful product.

HOLIDAY TRENDS FOR 2017 #7:

MAKE PET RELATED PRODUCTS

Pets are a huge part of our lives. A pet is treated like a member of the family. And everyone loves showcasing their pet during the holiday season. So why not take advantage of this and make some quirky pet-related products on Zazzle?

Hi Elke, thank you for the informative post. It would be great if could let us know if you use stock photos for the photo cards with a standard license or an extended license. Also, could you please suggest a few sources for the photos?
