Pinterest is a fun and easy-to-use social media platform. People spend hours browsing beautiful pictures for inspiration and ideas. Pinterest is not only a DIY craft site, it is a powerful marketing tool. You need to take full advantage of this to promote your Zazzle store and products. One of the major concerns about the platform is how followers interact with your pins. You need to strategically plan how to post the right content for the right audience. The 3 ways how to engage with your Pinterest followers described in this article, will help you increase your chances of follower interaction!

1. Comment, Like, Re-pin, Use Hashtags and Use @ Signs

Get to know who your Pinterest followers are! Reply to their comments and create a conversation! Like their photos so that they know who you are. Even re-pin some of their pins so that they know you are interested in their content. Use hashtags to tag your pins into specific categories. Pinners will find you easily based on the content you are pinning. And of course, mention them in your pin if you know it would intrigue them! Simply put the @ symbol and type in their Pinterest username. These simple actions will start a relationship with your Pinterest followers. They will appreciate that you take the time to think of them.

2. Ask Questions!

Asking questions is a great icebreaker when it comes to Pinterest followers. Pin a photo with a question in the description to engage your audience. Ask them if they like your design, colors, etc. Use simple yes/no or multiple-choice questions to start. Maybe you just posted two similar designs for sale on your Zazzle store. Put them side by side and ask your followers to vote on which one is cooler! Ask your followers about themselves. If you design pet products, ask them which type of dog they have! People love interacting online. You just need to ask the right questions!

3. Run Contests/ Giveaways

Contests and giveaways are fun for everyone and are great ways to get your Pinterest followers engaged and active. People love winning things! You can run multiple contests over the course of the year. Your prizes do not have to be physical or tangible. Featuring a photo of the winner on your Zazzle social media accounts would be great as well! For example, ask your followers to take a picture of a product they recently bought from you and tag it with a specific hashtag on Pinterest. Tell them you will pin and feature their photo on your ‘wall of fame’ or ‘shout-out page’ for the month! This is a great promotion for your products. Your Pinterest followers will see your Zazzle products in action!

I’ve actually not found Pinterest to be at all helpful for me, and I have 57,000+ followers.
